Habitat Pumpkin Ale Release! || Friday

pumpkin ale release.jpg

Cheers to Fall! Cool weather, celebrating harvest, and enjoying craft beer with family and friends. Join us Friday as we release our newest beer, our Pumpkin Ale. Matt began brewing this beer in Oregon as a treat for friends and was a huge hit and became a yearly ritual to look forward to. We are excited to renew this tradition, now in Asheville, and offer it up to our new friends here this year!

The Habitat Pumpkin Ale is a big bodied ale, one that hints at the great bounty of fall’s harvest, and is a tribute to all that Rayburn Farm grows for Asheville’s food and drink scene. We are proud to be using their pumpkins for our seasonal beer this fall. This pumpkin ale balances sweetness with a dry mouth feel so that neither linger long. Matt uses his spices lightly choosing to highlight notes of nutmeg and cloves most prominently.

Artist Closing Reception for Burleigh Kennedy || Saturday 5-9pm

This month’s artist, Burleigh Kennedy will be having his closing reception with live music. Burleigh will talking about his process and his art early in the evening and Les Amis will be playing from 7-9pm.

Les Amis is an Asheville, NC based band that offers their interpretation of West African style music. They are friends and collaborators and other musicians occasionally join them as well, which they lovingly refer to as their ‘friends’ as well! When they come together they play music to dance to or dance with. You’ll find members of Les Amis in other groups such as Toubab Krewe, Zansa, and AED Ensemble. You will not be disappointed to come out to hear Burleigh and talk about his work or to listen and dance with Les Amis!
