This Week @ Habitat Brewing Co.
We are open all 7 days of the week, starting at 3pm each day except on Saturday and Sunday when we open at 12 Noon. We close at 10 most days, except for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and we close at midnight those nights. Check out what cool stuff we've got for you this week over at the Tavern and Commons!
Monday night is Community Potluck night!! Our monthly gathering we call Common Table is back this week. We have created a space where people can get to know one another on a deeper level over a shared meal and conversation. These have been a huge success so far and we hope you are able to join us this week! You can find more details on Facebook. Dinner starts at 6:30, bring a dish to share and maybe even some plates and utensils to wash afterward until we can get a few sets of our own.
Tuesday night we welcome back one of our regular groups, Asheville Beer & Hymns. Yes, you read that correctly. Church music mixed with craft beer. This fun group of people is always open to new people checking it out and joining in. It's not all church hymns, but you can always count on a few of the classics thrown in there.
The Asheville Improv Jam is back this Thursday! It's free, open to the public, and funny...what more could you ask for?? These folks put on a great show. Think open mic meets improv comedy! What?!
An event that has been in the making well over a month is finally here this Friday night. David Joe Miller presents an incredibly special and rare WORD show, featuring Asheville's own original Story Lady, Gwenda Ledbetter and acclaimed blues musician and music historian, Scott Ainslie from Vermont. The doors will open at 6pm for an 7pm show. Tickets are $18.00 online at Eventbrite.com or $20.00 at the door, evening of the show. We do expect this show to sell out so purchasing your tickets in advance, online, is highly recommended. Seating is very limited in this intimate setting.
Saturday night is our inaugural Vinyl Night and we really hope this is a success so we can do more of these. It's like a fusion of a potluck and listening party. Our buddy from the Synth Meet Up group that meets on second Tuesdays will host and provide the turntable. You supply the record and songs of your choice. You get to create the listening experience and offer what you want to others. So think of a song or a record that means something to you or just seems fun to bring and listen to with others and bring your vinyl. Share stories, share music, share a pint! More details found over at the Facebook event page.
