Bailamos! Dance for the Caribbean

Samantha Gonzalez-Block is bringing back a night of Salsa (with lessons for those who want/need them) and this time much needed funds will be raised for relief work in Puerto Rico!

When: Monday, October 2, 7-8:30 PM

Where: Habitat Tavern and Commons, 174 Broadway, Asheville

Parking is located out back and is available after 5pm.

Come dance for a good cause! Enjoy an evening of beginner Salsa lessons, led by Samantha Gonzalez-Block, followed by open dancing for all ages and levels. We will be collecting monetary donations to go towards hurricane disaster relief in the Caribbean.

One of the efforts we will be joining with is led by a non-profit organization called All Hands Volunteers. This program in particular is and will be continuing to serve the US Virgin Islands as they have experienced almost absolute devastation. https://www.hands.org/projects/hurricane-irma-maria-response/

We will also be raising funds for one of the recovery efforts underway in Puerto Rico! Unidos Por Puerto Rico (United for Puerto Rico) is an initiative brought forth by the First lady of PR, Beatriz Rosselló, in collaboration with the private sector, with the purpose of providing fast, critical aid and support to those affected by the hurricane. http://unidosporpuertorico.com/en/

All are welcome to come socialize and enjoy. Families welcome of course! Nos vemos! See you there!
